How does GPS tracking work?

Global Positioning System (GPS) is a global radio navigation system, which consists of 24 MEO satellites and stations on the earth. A GPS receiver built in the device calculates your location and altitude via the signal from satellite. Based on triangulation of signals of at least three of the satellites, it applies a “ Pseudo ranging” technique to calculate the transmission time of the radio signal from the satellite in order to measure the distance of each satellite, and then pinpoint the current location.

GPS Satellites emit two types of radio signals, “C/A” (Coarse/Acquisition) and “P” (Precision). The latter one is preserved for military use and requires decryption. Commercial GPS appliances uses “C/A” signal to pinpoint location and altitude.

Will the vehicle device run down the battery of the vehicle?

No, it will not. The vehicle device consumes very little power and goes into sleep mode when the vehicle’s ignition is switched off. It also has its own built-in backup battery .The backup battery lasts for 17 hours and the vehicle device will send you an alert when the battery is running low.

Is there a warranty for the vehicle device?

Our device comes with one year replacement warrantee .However, incase the vehicle device is tampered with or reinstalled without the services of our engineer, the warranty will be void.

Do I need any software?

No our customers do not need any special software. Our End customers do not even need internet connection for basic car security features. Our customers only need an internet connection for web based tracking. We take care of everything else for them.

Do I require any software skill or any other special computer operating skill to get your services?

Not as such, ours is one of most simple and user friendly tracking website. Still we provide basic training to our customers on how to use the tracking website.

Is GPS signal available everywhere?

GPS signal is available everywhere under open sky though availability and quality of GPS signals may be affected by buildings, natural obstacles, weather conditions and satellite availability.
